I found the IICSE University a great university, actually the greatest: We can study at our own time, we feel obliged to study everything they give just in case, since we cannot ever know how the exam is going to be, and we feel so motivated by their material, which is mainly based on papers that people are actually publishing at the moment, that we end up writing like never before, one blog post after the other. After you visit http://philosophyisnotonlyforsophie.blogspot.com/, you will realize that I am really not lying. I found out things that I could not imagine, such as that Plato believed that the world was divided between oppressors and oppressed, in other words. It all came together with what a few people had told me before that date and really matched the reality that I experienced in my own life, so that I could draw a conclusion that would help me understand, even though it does little to help me cope with, what we do here. Upon thinking further, I also realized that we could never have a regimen that would be any different, what made me actually agree with Plato, what was the oddest thing on earth for me, since I keep on putting down the conclusions of the Ancient Philosophers (Plato, Socrates, Zeno, and etc.), as you can see on my profile with Academia.edu. IICSE, therefore, made me value them more. I also found interesting to get to learn about Paulo Freire from reading their material, since I was born in Brazil and I talk about Paulo Freire for long, but I had never actually read that much about him. Besides, I learned impossible-to-believe things about Buddha: He left children and wife behind to gain the world, just like Jesus left his family. He apparently, even though these are not the words the IICSE material uses, turned his back on them all and walked away to never come back. That far, I actually had a certain interest in Buddhism and thought their theory was purely based on Philosophy. I actually thought their theory was also mostly based on rationality. I felt that I was then introduced to a whole new world, a world that definitely made this world something different. What else would we like to take from education and especially from Philosophy? Fantastic! I have never paid so little for so much in my life: In half a year or a bit less than that, I had my Master's, given my dedication and will to advance, but also my interest in all that universe that was unveiled before me. I definitely recommend this journey to everyone who, like me, is passionate about education, achievement, and expansion of horizons.
